Wohoooo 2019 plus a week where did you come from? Thankyou for all the support - 2018 was one hell of a year, it was hectic and the best!! A lot of sprinting around, mud, tears (a lot!), sun, sweat, self doubt, but ultimately fun and definitely worth it. With my first solo show in gallery of dreams @osbornestudiogallery, Thankyou beyond words. There’s nothing I love more than painting but it is incredibly exposing and often feels mad and lonely - I definitely could not have done it without so many incredibly kind and encouraging friends and family. Going above and beyond the call of duty, reaching out to pull me up. Especially @rowlinsona you rock! A small platform for remembering a hero - all families have great men and women who have come before us - but I thought I’d remember my grandfather Michael Clinton, CMG, GM and bar. Who was awarded the George Cross twice - only two officers given this honour - ‘for acts of gallant courage and bravery’. He put his life before countless others as Bomb Disposal with the Royal Engineers. His many citations make for great reading with many quoting the sound of ticking, a comment by Major General Taylor his actions, stated ‘that he had accepted the risk of certain death, with sustained courage and complete disregard to personal safety’. He was also a poet, a father to five and was Hong Kong’s financial sectary. Despite his action packed life full of caring for others he was taken so young and never met his numerous grand children and now great grand children who are also proud of him and honoured to call him our grandfather. We celebrated his 100th birthday in October and remembered ‘to fill every unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run’ #lestweforget #georgemedal #love
